Often expressed with emphasis in print - **plonk** -, this is the indication that you are killfiling or forever blocking further communication from a particular person. Although mostly used in the Internet Newsgroups, I've also seen it used in the context of blocking someone from sending email to you.

Although there are obviously abusive people who need to be blocked from view, I don't think it's a good idea to killfile someone who is spreading incorrect information - if you never see their misleading posts, you get no chance to set the record straight. If enough people have "plonked" this person, his misinformation goes unchallenged and newbies may take it as fact.
