Termcap and Terminfo Book

© January 1997 Tony Lawrence

I really wish that people setting out to write Unix programs would buy this book first, just so they really understand what they are doing.

Far too often character based apps will only run well under one terminal emulation. Of course, that's assuming there is a character based version at all - that's becoming more rare anyway!

Other than that, if you have ever needed to write termcaps or terminfos for unusual terminals, this is the book to have.
