Order (or just read more about) The Practice of Programming from Amazon.com
How could you not own this book? Kernighan and Pike. That should be enough right there. I shouldn't need to tell you that this is a tight, well written book with precise and to the point examples, that it includes both good and bad examples, that it discusses everything thoroughly, that you will learn things you didn't know before and that you'll enjoy reading it.
No, there's no pont in my wasting time with that. It's real simple: this is a book about programming. It was written by Kernighan and Pike. Enough said.
Got something to add? Send me email.
