Order (or just read more about) Linux Kernel Internals from Amazon.com
If this is the only book you are going to buy on internals, don't bother. It's a little weak, a little confusing, and just not all that well done.
However, in conjunction with other books, this probably has value because it is specific for Linux. The coverage is for Linux 2.0, so that value has already started to fade, but I'm sure that enough is similar that this could still be useful. There's a CDROM which I didn't bother to look at, but it supposedly includes a Slackware 3.1 distribution, a sample driver, and some other documentation.
