Unhappy with Spam Bill?

Link: Spammers Pleased with 'Anti'-Spam Act

I'm not entirely in agreement with the complaints about this law. I feel much the same way I feel about the Medicare prescription drug law also passed this week: it may be a lousy law, but the intent is heading in the right direction, and it's better to pass it than not. We can improve it later. If, as the decriers claim, it won't stop spam, then we'll see that and can add to it or revise it.

A beginning is better than nothing.
