Lawsuit

(NEWEST POST)
SCO Lawsuits drag on The news of SCO's legal setbacks has been greeted by some as joyful, but as this article points out, setbacks are just setbacks, and don't mean the case is over. It certainly does mean that this part of the mess (who holds the copyrights) is confusing enough to warrant a trial.
And the SCO case keeps on twitching PJ over at Groklaw thinks her grandchildren (if she had any) might still be following this SCO mess. Well, it won't take that long, but it sure has dragged out, hasn't it?
Contrasting opinions on SCO and Monterey deal I'd really like to see an intelligent, unbiased assessment of all of this. Trouble is, I'm so laden with emotional baggage myself that I'm not sure I'd recognize it if I found it. I'm for freedom and openness, and if SCO or anybody else has patents or copyrights or even constitutional amendments on their side, I don't care - it's morally wrong, it's going to hurt all of us, stifle innovation and so on. Don't get me started, because I'll rant on for hours.
