Linux

Your future desktop The report of Citrix and Intel developing an open source Xen desktop hypervisor reminded me of "The unimportance of Linux OS and why you don't care" from a few years back. The future looks a bit more clear now - here's what I think we'll see.
Why *I* like Linux and Unix (and Mac OS X too!) There's plenty of stuff out there that tells you why you should embrace Linux and make it your own. That's not what this is: if you want to run Windows, go ahead.
Zombie SCO As much as I hate to say anything in support of SCO, it was a bit surprising that the court had ruled that they didn't. At the time this stuff all happened, it certainly looked like SCO had bought Unix. Certainly they acted like they bought it, and I don't recall anyone, Novell or otherwise, ever contesting that.
