http://www.movabletype.org/. A popular php based publishing system very popular with bloggers. It's actually Perl that generates the php, but most users won't know or care. It can generate static or dynamic pages, handle archiving, trackback references by other sites, and all the other things bloggers expect.
And of course, if they screw up, and open up a security hole, your site becomes vulnerable the minute the bad guys find out about it. As convenient as this sort of generator is, I just would not use any for anything important. It's not that I can't just as eaily screw up and leave my own site vulnerable - of course I can. But the whole world won't know about it, will they?
