PROBLEM: During installation of the SCO XENIX Development System, I am
           asked to choose a default terminal description library for use
           with the curses(S) screen handling package. I can choose
           "terminfo", "termcap" or "no default package" by selecting neither.
           Which curses package should I choose?

PROBLEM:  After using sysadmsh(ADM) in a scoterm(X) I am unable to cut and
          paste using the mouse, unless I press the <Shift> key simultaneously
          with the mouse buttons.

PROBLEM:  I want to make a copy of a kernel under a special name, but I am
          unable to do so as the /stand filesystem is read-only. How can I
          work around this?

PROBLEM:  I have a small number of machines (less than 25) on which I would
          like to install SCO OpenServer Release 5 (Enterprise, Host, or
          Desktop).  These are intended to be replicated installations,
          and I want to create a master tape to perform the operation,
          instead of doing all the installations from scratch.

PROBLEM:  How can I enable(C) and disable(C) /dev/tty devices as a regular
          user instead of as a superuser?  When trying to enable and disable
          as a regular user, I get the error:

PROBLEM:  I have installed a network interface card (NIC) into my machine.
          I am now having networking problems.  There are several common
          scenarios that you may run across:

            (1) The NIC is configured successfully but doesn't respond or
                gives errors during reboot;

            (2) Ping or telnet to other machines on the local network fails;

            (3) Node can only communicate with certain machines on the local
                network;

            (4) Networking locks up or has sporadic slowdowns.

PROBLEM:  After installing the OSMP package to add multi-processor support to
          UnixWare 7, I get the following error when trying to re-link the
          kernel:

PROBLEM:  Creating an Emergency Recovery tape in Single-User Mode causes

PROBLEM:  I am unable to boot my Compaq Proliant8500 Server using the
          Unixware 7 Emergency Recovery Disks.

          I have the following hardware setup:

                * Compaq Proliant 8000 Series
                * 8 GB Memory
                * UnixWare 7.1.1
                * Compaq EFS 7.38A

          My UnixWare 7 recognized all the 8 GB of memory. I had set the
          parameter to the following:

                ENABLE_4GB_MEM to "YES" in the /stand/boot file.

          I created the emergency recovery floppies using the following
          command:

                emergency_disk diskette1

          When I boot with the first Boot Floppy, the system warm reboots
          after the "Loading UnixWare" message is been displayed for
          approximately one minute.  This will repeat itself on a continuous
          warm reboot loop.

          This problem also can be seen when using emergency recovery
          floppies created by third party backup solutions like BackupEDGE
          from Microlite or Backup Professional from Cactus.

PROBLEM:  'fchmod' on a socket file descriptor causes a panic.

          Performance degradation occurs when many processes are locking the 
          same region of the same file at a high rate.

PROBLEM:  With rs506a installed on your system, booting the system up from
          boot/root floppies on Openserver 5.0.6, cpio fails to work. It will
          fail with:

          dynamic linker : cpio : error opening /usr/lib/libsocket.so.2
          Killed

PROBLEM:  My system isn't responding normally. Networking connections are
          hung, slow to respond, or other operations fail, using truss(1).
          I see an ENOSR error indicating that I'm out of STREAMS resources.
          I may also see "Out of streams resources" errors in my logs.  I
          have tuned the the kernel parameter STRTHRESH.
