I've been looking at profiles of the folks who "joined" through GFC (Google Friend Connect). I've been clicking through to your blogs and websites if you have them and joining your community if it is GFC enabled (do let me know if I missed you).
I enjoy the intelligent conversation that's been flowing lately. We don't always agree about everything, but that's fine, it's still stimulating.
One of the things on my mind again is the wisdom of piling all these different themes into one website. It's convenient for me certainly, but there are so many disparate subjects.. I feel like it must be better if I split everything up so it's not such a mess.
I keep vacillating on this. I even did it a few years back, splitting into three sites: one about Self Employment, one about Blogging, and one about Unix/Linux and all that.
I wasn't happy with that. For one thing, a lot of posts didn't fit into any of those slots - I needed a catch-all site. But then again, some things crossed boundaries. I didn't want to make the same post to multiple sites, so that nagged at me. Within a few months I gave up and merged everything together again.
So here we are. A big pile of sometimes unrelated stuff..
No Focus. Bad for a blog, bad for a website.. but there it is, and there is probably where it will stay.
So, welcome again to the GFC folks and I hope more readers will consider joining so that I can get to know you. For those who find my rambling too unfocused, yeah, I understand. I also understand those who fear Google's infiltration into our lives.
We'll be returning to "tech" subjects shortly..

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them. I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here. If you have any question, please do feel free to contact me.
Specific links that take you to pages that allow you to purchase the item I reviewed are very likely to pay me a commission. Many of the books I review were given to me by the publishers specifically for the purpose of writing a review. These gifts and referral fees do not affect my opinions; I often give bad reviews anyway.
