I have a new SCO 6 install running MP3, I uninstalled mmdf and installed sendmail. Sendmail works however when I start ssh I get "sshd: booted kernel does not support security system call" ???? What the heck is this? I have relinked the kernel, and DocView won;t start (httpd) it gets "Syntax error on line 207 of /usr/lib/docview/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/libexec/libperl.so into server: dynamic linker: /usr/lib/apache/bin/httpd: relocation error: symbol not found: unsetenv; referenced from: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/i586-pc-sysv5/CORE/libperl.so"

I sure do miss 3.2.4.2 or even 5.0!!!!

I don't do any SCO 6 at all, so can't offer any help. Some other reader may.

Not at all familiar with OSR6, but I suspect the shared library error was due to you removing mmdf. I vaguely recall running into something similar with OSR5. Try reinstalling mmdf and see what happens with the other errors. You can continue to use Sendmail even though mmdf is loaded.

BTW, for what earthly reason would anyone go with OSR6? That software is dangerously close to being an orphan and doesn't offer anything that can't be had with Linux or OpenBSD..

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them. I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here. If you have any question, please do feel free to contact me.

Specific links that take you to pages that allow you to purchase the item I reviewed are very likely to pay me a commission. Many of the books I review were given to me by the publishers specifically for the purpose of writing a review. These gifts and referral fees do not affect my opinions; I often give bad reviews anyway.
