Lösningen på DNS-gåtan

Detta är svaret på DNS-gåtan.

Jag dirigerade min klient att göra så här:

Bara punkterna efter "xyz.com" fattades alltså. Har du redigerat DNS-filer manuellt så vet du vilken insikt som gjorde mig nöjd: utelämnar du punkten från en DNS-post, tillfogar servern det ursprungliga domännamnet. Redskapet klienten använde ville att MX-posterna skrevs in precis som de skulle stå i zonfilen. En duglig programmerare skulle i stället ha kodat in litet kontroll- och editeringskod, så att dagens misstag kunde undvikits.

Hur som helst började e-posten strömma in så fort de rätta MX-pekarna hade spritts:

$ dig +short xyz.com mx
10 mail.xyz.com.
20 mail2.xyz.com.
