Best of the Newsgroups

These are posts (or references to posts) from comp.unix.sco.misc and other newsgroups that I thought were useful enough to save. These are not in chronological order. They aren't in ANY order, and the listing of articles on the index page is really only for the benefit of search engines. Keep in mind that these are just posts I noticed: I may not have read them carefully so there may be horrible errors. Also, because of the formatting, these may be hard to read.

PLEASE pay attention to WHO wrote what. Don't come screaming at me because you don't like what someone else wrote. Slow down, read, and use your brain.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE DATE. Some of this stuff is really old and whatever it says may have changed radically. I do put a warning on those when I notice them, but there are thousands of posts here and I'm not perfect.

For most posts, Message-ID's and References are linked to Google archives, but if the post post is new, Google may not have picked it up yet.

Articles at Unix Articles may be easier to read if one of them has the information you are looking for.

The Search capabilities here are always the best way to find what you are looking for.
