Colorado floppy tape drives never worked very well (to be very kind),
starting with 3.2v4.2 (1993), they barely worked, if at all. These
drives were >never< supported on any SCO Unixen or Xenix system.
If it was not made on a Colorado drive, it might work. Your choices
when you ran mkdev tape would be (in order):
3. Install Qic-40 or Qic-80 Tape Drive
2. Install Mini-Cartridge Tape Drive
