You will need a 7.1.1 media kit, but at the time no license was required to
upgrade from 7.1.0 to 7.1.1.

With cd #2 in the drive install the upgrade software

pkgadd -d cdrom1 uli

and then run it

scoadmin upgrade wizard

As always backup and verify first. If that went well, reboot and add the
patches from cd #2

pkgadd -d cdrom1 set71101

Do not reboot, you need to add ptf7632 first ( was at the ptf7632e version
last time I checked ). Then you can reboot. If this is a ProLiant server
make sure to remove the EFS before doing the upgrade, and installing it
after the patches. If you have three or more network cards installed you
may have to uninstall and reinstall them in netcfg.

There is another around 40 patches for 7.1.1, most of them should be installed.
Some are hardware or driver specific and may not be of use.

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them. I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here. If you have any question, please do feel free to contact me.

Specific links that take you to pages that allow you to purchase the item I reviewed are very likely to pay me a commission. Many of the books I review were given to me by the publishers specifically for the purpose of writing a review. These gifts and referral fees do not affect my opinions; I often give bad reviews anyway.
