The website Linuxsecurity.com keeps up to date on the lastest security advisories issued by most major Linux distributions, as well as FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD.

Also if you look under the section for "Caldera" they have news coming from the SCO group that includes advisories for Unixware and Open Unix.

The advisory database can be viewed at http://www.linuxsecurity.com/advisories/ and just go there and click on your Distro of choice.

It has information on versions affected by the security bugs and what to do to correct the problem.

@loudmouthman: correct, but how do you prove ANYTHING like that is accurate? You can't. A text file is no better or worse than anything.

@loudmouthman: well, a digital signature could prove it hadn't been altered. Text is no more insecure than anything else in that sense.
