I have been searching for this program for a while, and finally found it. It basically takes a working linux system, and turns it into a bootable CD. We have a couple of kiosk style machines for some Intranet applications inside our plant. The web browser has been modified, so that only internal applications can be accessed, and no other programs on the system can be run, but the web browser. The system starts in a modified runlevel-4, and is designed to only run the web browser, and specific applications. Since I spent a while on hacking this together, I made some backups of the config files I used, in case something happened.

Now I can burn this whole environment to a CD, and use it on virtually any system with a bootable CD drive, and never have to worry about settings being changed. Just re-power the machine, and it's back!
