Is SCO backing off on Linux litigation?

An often reported story from the most recent SCO Forum is one where attendees have been exhorting SCO to spend less time on litigation and more time on operating system improvements.  It could be that SCO CEO Darl McBride has received the message loud and clear.

Of course, the fact that the SCO Source program has only netted about 11,000 dollars to date might have something to do with McBride's thinking (he is thinking, right?).  Another possibility is that SCO has come to the realization that filing lawsuits is an expensive activity with no sure outcome, and that stockholders would be better served if the company actually made money for a change, preferably by selling software.

@loudmouthman: correct, but how do you prove ANYTHING like that is accurate? You can't. A text file is no better or worse than anything.

@loudmouthman: well, a digital signature could prove it hadn't been altered. Text is no more insecure than anything else in that sense.
