Bruce Garlock passed along this link to a video showing how to install Windows XP on an Intel Mac: http://features.uneasysilence.com/mactel
Other than as a technical challenge, I simply cannot imagine why you would want to do this? Dual boot? Yeah, the Intel Macs boot quickly, but still: do you really want to reboot to switch to a different OS? Of course not: we want to run Windows under virtualization as a guest OS.
By the way, I've heard all the naive comments: too slow, broken, yadda yadda. Yes, Virtual PC on PowerPC Macs WAS slow, but virtualization on these Intel Macs will NOT be slow. And for those clueless few who still can't understand the difference between API emulation and virtualization, well, it's time for you to clean the gunk out of your ears and listen up: API trapping is difficult, prone to be bggy, and is always, always lagging behind. Virtualization does not have those problems: if you can get the OS to boot in the virtual machine, it's going to run any application that it can run on real hardware.

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them. I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here. If you have any question, please do feel free to contact me.
Specific links that take you to pages that allow you to purchase the item I reviewed are very likely to pay me a commission. Many of the books I review were given to me by the publishers specifically for the purpose of writing a review. These gifts and referral fees do not affect my opinions; I often give bad reviews anyway.

Like I said in the email with this link, I just want seamless Windows. No full booting of the whole OS, just a Window opening up with just the application. I just need it for those few Windows apps that do not have a Mac equivalent, or for the apps that are required to setup routers or other network equipment.

Virtualization will be nice too, but for a desktop, I just want seamless Windows. Being able to run multiple OS'es will be great for development. Being able to boot up Linux, and other *nixes, will come in handy.

Mac Rumors says this is coming with Leopard: http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/03/20060324092148.shtml
Looks like Leopard will beat Vista to market, by the way.
