This is my direct client opening - Java / J2EE developer for my client in
Western Canada - Vancouver, B.C. - full time permanent position.

I need a Senior Java / J2EE candidate as follows:
At least 7 years of experience developing enterprise software solutions
applying OOP.
At least 4 years of strong Java programming skills
Professional experience with J2EE, WebLogic, web frameworks
Strong knowledge of Data management and SQL
Full understanding of the development lifecycle
Expert in clustering, multi-threading, scalability, and extensibility

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline, or
equivalent experience

Desired: Java certifications, Struts, Oracle and/or SQL Server

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 CDN plus $5K Sign-on Bonus
Client is not paying any relocation. Client prefers local candidates to
Vancouver or those who can relocate on their own.
Must be able to work in Canada, with no VISA issues!

Position 2) (Job) Java Developer / DBA - Canada
This is my direct client opening - Java Developer / DBA Combination for my
client in Western Canada- full time permanent position.

As a Java Developer / DBA, you will be involved in the entire life cycle of
the application, from design, implementation, testing, performance tuning to
deployment and operation.

Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience developing enterprise software solutions
At least 3 years of DBA experience (Oracle or SQL Server) ideally in a
development environment
At least 2 years of strong Java programming skills
Experience in database modeling, analysis, tuning, profiling and
optimization

Desired: Oracle and/or SQL Server Certifications, Java Certifications, Full
understanding of the development lifecycle

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline, or
equivalent experience

This is a Full time Permanent FTE position with the client in Western
Canada. Salary being offered is $60K - $85K CDN per year depending on
experience, with standard benefits. Very stable company with a great working
atmosphere.
