Fri Sep 5 01:37:35 GMT 2003 Alexa seems to be having math trouble
Last week I noticed that Alexa was reporting my 1 week averag somewhere up in the 500,000 area. That was pretty strange, since my 3 month average was around 82,000, and no day in the previous week had been above 70,000 or so. I checked a few other sites, and noticed similar figures: sites who would definitely be in the tens of thousands had 1 week averages around ten times what they should have been. I wrote to Alexa support about it, and when I checked this morning, everything looked right again.
But just now i took another peek, and my 3 month average has jumped into the 1 million area.. obviously impossible, but there it is. Alexa must be really screwed up somewhere..

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them. I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here. If you have any question, please do feel free to contact me.
Specific links that take you to pages that allow you to purchase the item I reviewed are very likely to pay me a commission. Many of the books I review were given to me by the publishers specifically for the purpose of writing a review. These gifts and referral fees do not affect my opinions; I often give bad reviews anyway.
