Unix/Linux Basics

pavatar.jpg

Recently I've noticed more naive users in the Unix world. I see it both in the newsgroups and in email I get, and it's also apparent in the things folks search for here.

This section of the site is for those folks. It's an expansion of the New To Unix I had already written; this will go into more depth, do more hand-holding and I hope will make Unix/Linux more understandable. See Unix Articles for the complete index of articles. Also, use Search to more easily find whatever it is you need.

Basics : Most popular in this category: Routing Basics , Email Basics , Xinetd , VPN's and other remote access
